Belgrade-Pristina, Neither Close Nor Far From Agreement

Agreement between Belgrade and Pristina is neither close nor far from being made, because the point of view can change at any time, said the Prime Minister of Serbia Ivica Dacic, after 12-hour talks with Kosovo Prime Minister Hasim TAci.

“There are still some differences, first of all when it comes to the community for the Serbian municipalities in KOsovo, but I can say that we’ve built a relationship in which we respect the arrangements and deal with serious issues in the past seven meetings. As the time goes by, the optimism for finding a solution could grow bigger”, said Dacic.

Kosovo Prime Minister agreed with Dacic.

“We had constructive talks. I also cannot confirm whether we are close or far from an agreement, but we are heading in the right direction. Our peoples have lost a lot of time. During the past six months we’ve achieved a significant success, which only a year ago was unimaginable”, said Taci, pointing out that he expects a solution to be found in the next several days.

The next round of negotiations is scheduled for 2nd of April.
