Djokovic Helping Children With Special Needs

Best tennis player in the world Novak Djokovic visited Elementary school for children with special needs “Anton Skala” in Belgrade and made a 5,5 million dinars donation, which will be used to renew the schoolyard.

Accompanied by his girlfriend Jelena and mother Dijana, Novak Djokovic used the opportunity to spend time with the kids who organized a special play in his honor.

“It is my pleasure as president of the foundation to be able to help out in realizing this project which was proclaimed by UNESCO back in 2009 as best of its kind in the world. I am glad that the kids will be able to play and develop in a new schoolyard, but also spend time there with their peers, being that there are many other schools in this neighborhood”, said Djokovic.

School principal Igor Raicevic thanked the world’s best tennis player and vividly described the significance of his visit.
“The donation you made can be measured, but the pleasure and significance of you playing with these children is not possible to measure and I thank you for that with all my heart”, said Raicevic.
