Commissary for safety of Football Association of Croatia Zoran Cvrk said that all fans of Serbian national team will be escorted from the Maksimir stadium at the upcoming 2014 World Championship qualifier against Croatia in Zagreb.
“I don’t exclude the possibility of Serbian fans entering the stadium. To cheer for Serbia among 35.000 Croatian supporters is, however, not a recommendable thing to do. The same goes for supporting Croatia in Belgrade. Mutual arrangement between the two Football Associations is that guest fans will be banned from games in Belgrade and Zagreb. We reserved, based on reciprocity, 150 tickets for guest fans, and the people who attend from Serbia will be seated in booths. It is not advisable for anyone, no matter where they come from, to openly support Serbia in Zagreb or Croatia in Belgrade”, said Cvrk.
The game between Croatia and Serbia will be played on 22nd March in Zagreb, and Serbia will be host to Croatia on 6th of September in Belgrade.
