Luis Suarez, the superstar striker who plays for Liverpool, appears to have bitten a second opponent during a match when he latched on to the arm of Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.
Serbian complained immediately after the two fell to the pitch, but referee Kevin Friend evidently didn’t see the incident and there was no foul on the play.
After the match Luis Suarez has apologised for his “inexcusable behaviour”.
“I’m sad for what happened this afternoon. I apologise Ivanovic and all football world for my inexcusable behaviour. I’m so sorry about it,” said Suarez on his official Twitter account.
